I went for a walk to Montmartre, a Parisian neighborhood I like to visit at night as it offers the opportunity to travel in time and space – to the Forties and Fifties in France’s typical film noirs, featuring Jean Gabin, Jeanne Moreau, or Lino Ventura.

My tip is to visit impressive buildings and their surroundings, as the most striking spots usually stand in the shadow of architectural gems such as the Sacré Coeur.
