“Boudoir” has a unique spot in my heart because of its link to an unforgettable moment that seemed to be doomed. Indeed, I went on a trip to Burano, but clouds, rain, and thunder appeared as soon as I arrived.
Being the optimist I am, I decided not to let it get to me and went on the discovery of a treasure in its most vulnerable state.
The result is quite interesting, as the tints of “Boudoir” shine otherwise than they would on a regular sunny day. The blurriness caused by the deluge adds a special effect to the scene. It seems as if colors, elements, lines, and shapes melt into each other and create one painted, smirred entity.
I admit that at first, I was upset as I felt the cloudburst would spoil my creativity. I nevertheless realized that, on the contrary, it was offering the opportunity to uncover its unguarded and touching side.
