The name of this photograph is Entre chic et choc as when I entered the hotel, I was flabbergasted by the sight of this palazzo which had just reopened its doors after four years of renovations.
The hotel is a classical beauty but is filled with (hidden) topnotch modernity, which makes it all the more interesting. The photo was shot on my way to the bathrooms, which is the best excuse/opportunity to discover a luxury hotel in Paris.
Although the staff is amazingly classy, available and nice, most exclusive places do not want visitors to wander around the premises and keep a (subtle) but close eye on guests who do not stay in their palace.
This shot was taken quickly and discreetly, without any members of the staff and guests noticing that this time, my IPhone was keeping a close eye on them. I feel this scene summarizes what hôtelerie is all about: the hotel staff organizing and discussing how to make their clients’ stay as enjoyable and relaxing as possible.
