This photo was taken in Antwerp in one of the staircases of a big tower in Antwerp, Belgium. The stairs are in white marble, the walls in light blue and the floor was made out of black and white cubic marble tiles. Staircase photography connects various compositions and unites different elements leading to hypnotic, original, and breathtaking creations. A modern spiral staircase viewed from below, showcasing its smooth curves and continuous railing. The gradient lighting highlights the center of the spiral, drawing the eye upward. The composition emphasizes the architectural elegance and repetitive patterns, creating a visually striking effect.

Staircases are interesting elements as depending on the angle you look at them, they tell a different story which will awaken your imagination. When discovering this staircase in a stunning Fifties building in Antwerp, I soon realized that its main staircase could offer a great creative opportunity to my photography. I may safely say I was right as I was able to transform its spirality into a dream drop… A drop in which I could see the various lines and forms interfere and lead to unknown beauty and horizons.

I realized that when visiting the staircase of Den Bell in Antwerp, the secret of a breathtaking staircase lied in its ability to tell a story to be read while ascending and descending its stairs. Indeed, the steps of Den Bell tell Antwerp’s history by emphasizing on what has always mattered for its inhabitants throughout the centuries; classy fashion, savoir-faire, and above all, discreet perfection.
