“The Never-Ending Comma” – Since staircases are the mediators between floors, they turn into existential elements in premises. Indeed, they see and hear everything but never speak. They own the power to reveal a place best-kept secrets, but they don’t as their motto is silence and discretion.
But this is not all; stairs also often add a lot to the beauty of a building through their forms, style, colors, and grace.
This is the case of this staircase I discovered in a building built in the Fifties. Its original structure enabled me to transform it in a drop, a never-ending comma, a wave, and even a Cheshire cat smile.
Looking at the stairwell opened a door to my imagination and story-telling abilities. And isn’t this the highlight of creativity?
