« Ceci n’est pas un rêve » was taken in a dreamy location that seemed to derive straight from a fairy tale. The thin line between photography and painting adds more mystery to the moment and underlines what I love so much when working on my photographs: I choose the direction, streamline and narrative of my picture.
True, I could have left the shot as is, but it was important to me to open the door to the surrounding imaginary sphere. I find it crucial to remind my viewers that the world is full of magic and surreal beauty; it is all a matter of perceptions, of deciding how to look at our entourage. Is the bottle half-full or half-empty?
