The minute I came across this standing lamp, the “Skyscraper”, I knew it would leave a print on my camera.
When I looked at this ordinary chandelier, standing in a hidden corner somewhere in Antwerp, I understood that what I saw wasn’t anything but regular.
It was as if its surrounding light, reflections, and shadows had signed an agreement to revive the lady shining among them.
But there was more – it was as if they had decided to open the door to my creativity and force me to see what was hiding behind the entire scene.
And there I stood, trying to guess the drawing or painting that was glittering in front of my eyes. Everything became suddenly clear to me – it was a skyscraper surrounded by breathtaking clouds.
Or was it something else? What do you think?
