Light and shades. I love light and shades; what I like most is light in photographs, especially when it seems to lead its existence without any assistance from the outside world.

You know that picture which shines on its own and doesn’t seem to need any spotlights. It will just shine bright like a diamond on a wall.

I shot this picture in a hotel in Bruges on my way to the bathroom. You cannot imagine how much beauty I found on my way to the toilets in these kinds of premises. This is how I discovered breathtaking corners, like this one, but also magnificent and impressive art installations, paintings, and sculptures. Elegance, charm, and grace could be found in every corner of every room of every corridor and turned the exploration of the jewel into a true pleasure for the eyes.
