INTIMATE DESIGN CORNER – BLACK & WHITE

I love putting hiding corners and details in the spotlights in my black and white design photography as they are the secret key to the beauty of a place...

Black and white design photography includes all I love about photography: interior design, with an emphasis on visual art, fine art, and history. Interior design reflects everything I love: an idea, a composition filled with creativity, and passion, influenced by the clients and the designer’s background and memories. I realize that black and white design photography is a mixture of taste, moments, and principles of two parties.

While observing a design, one can feel what they love; bombastic imagery, a lot of space, precise technique, improvisation, flashy color, or on the contrary, zenitude, calmness, and simplicity. Indeed, bumping into small and hiding elements always blows my mind away as the obviousness of their presence overwhelms the entire sumptuous room. I enjoy the daring thought behind a simple appearance as it underlines what I know but tend to forget in a world that seeks to amaze: less is more. It reminds us that, no matter what surrounds us, there is a way to keep our feet on the ground and shine bright like diamonds without the expected Bling Bling.

Have you ever closely looked at a stairway? I advise you to do so, as you may be surprised by what you might discover. This black and white picture features a staircase balluster and handrails crossing each other and therefore forming a OXO gameboard.

This photo was taken in a new hotel in Istanbul which is a patchwork of different and various interior design streams. This lobby clearly reminds the movie "A Space Odyssey". The decor of hotel lobbies will balance from Art Deco to the Victorian Age, or from Alice in Wonderland to A Space Odyssey.

This photo was taken in Amsterdam in a hotel which seeks to tell its city's history as well as Alice in Wonderland's story. The result is original as even the sofas are tulip-sized.
This photo was taken in Florence in the house of the Medici's family. I loved the way these doors seem to play a restless and dream game.
