INTIMATE DESIGN CORNER

I love putting hiding corners and details in the spotlights in my design photography as they are the secret key to the beauty of a place...

Design photography includes all I love about photography: interior design, with an emphasis on visual art, fine art, and history. Interior design reflects everything I love: an idea, a composition filled with creativity, and passion, influenced by the clients and the designer’s background and memories. I realize that design photography is a mixture of taste, moments, and principles of two parties.

While observing a design, one can feel what they love; bombastic imagery, a lot of space, precise technique, improvisation, flashy color, or on the contrary, zenitude, calmness, and simplicity. Indeed, bumping into small and hiding elements always blows my mind away as the obviousness of their presence overwhelms the entire sumptuous room. I enjoy the daring thought behind a simple appearance as it underlines what I know but tend to forget in a world that seeks to amaze: less is more. It reminds us that, no matter what surrounds us, there is a way to keep our feet on the ground and shine bright like diamonds without the expected Bling Bling.

This photo was taken in the design lobby of a hotel in Leuven, Belgium, and features half a light blue pillow, half a turquoise sofa, half a window and half a red poufe. I love putting hiding corners and details in the spotlights in my design photography as they are the secret key to the beauty of a place.
This photo was taken in Jerusalem in a hotel which loved mixing modernity and history. And loves playing with light and mirror reflections

This photo was taken in Istanbul and features a modern hotel which was built some time ago and lead to a patchwork of various interior design streams. The whole is perfect. This picture clearly shows how photographers sometimes share their passion with the rest.
