FACADES

Exterior building photography contributes immensely to the identity of a city by telling its architectural history and heritage…

Exterior building photography, which includes exterior architectural photography, real estate photography, and interior photography, has always been part of my life. I have made it a point to shoot these photographs from a different angle: to underline the true beauty of architecture, real estate, or interior space and find a way to discover the best relation between perspective, light, detail, and my camera.

Thanks to this, my photos are filled with breathtaking and original architectural jewels designed by world-famous architecture mavens and the most elegant and modern designs created and crafted by the finest interior designers. The resulting images are dreamlike architectural photos that balance a modern commercial building with residential properties, with an eye for the hidden detail that will turn pseudo-normality into an untimely architectural structure.

Believe it or not, exterior building photography can also have a bad hair day. Indeed it is not because there is a blue sky that it will lead to a perfect photo. I am convinced that the more natural the scene, the better the photograph: I like it when natural light surrounds a building, such as dim light, grey clouds, and unexpected colors, as these elements will show the identity of a city, its architecture, and design.

This photo was taken in Belgrade, Serbia, and shows the beautiful architecture which arises from all sides of the city, especially from its fort.
This photo was taken in Sarajevo and features the typical mix of modernity, heritage and history.
This photo was taken in Antwerp in its old city.
Boudoir was shot in Burano on a rainy day. The colors on the picture are smirred. The picture shows a front door with a purple and flue green curtain, a green window and pipes all around the construction.
This photo was taken in Sarajevo in its centuries-old Jewish cemetery, this corner reminded me of René Magritte's paintings.
This photo was taken in Italy and features the façade of an old beautiful house. In the middle of it there is a tree which seems to mediate between the three bikes which surround it.
This photo was take in Tel Aviv and features one of the facades and entrance to a synagogue which is being restored. The door and the fences are both in blue tints. Exterior building photography emphasizes the true beauty of a city.
This photo was taken on the roof of a building in Israel and seems to reflect the building across like a Hopper painting.
This photo was taken on the roofs in Antwerp on a snowy day, and features the surrounding houses and the Havenhuis.
This photo was taken in Antwerp next to the Museum aan de Stroom (MAS) and clearly shows the city's need to hold on to its past to carry on to its future and present.
This photo was taken in Antwerp and features an old firefighter central, composed of giant firefighter statue surrounded by four red doors. A person is admiring the statue and another is biking in front of the building.
This photo was taken in Burano in Italy which is a fishermen’s village where every house was painted in a different color so that sailors could recognize their house from afar. The day I visited the village was a very rainy one so I found a shelter in this beautiful passage.
This photo was taken in Antwerp and showcasts elements which make the strength of the city: The Scheldt, its past, present and future.
This photo was taken in Antwerp, Belgium, and features an Art Deco house on which there is written: Sometimes it's all about waiting. There are indeed a person and a dog who are waiting.
