LINEAR GAMES

Lines and shapes photography can be placed everywhere as it designs our surroundings and creates one big, beautiful and impressive whole...

Lines and shapes photography has always been of interest to me as its photographic composition is different than travel photography, landscape photography, or street photography. Such photography is usually composed of converging lines, organic shapes, diagonal lines, geometric shapes, and curved lines that meet at a focal point or that, on the contrary, avoid each other through parallel lines, depth, or curved lines, which will never meet. Although these are dissimilar, the results of lines and shapes photography will often lead to pure beauty and bliss. Some photographs will include vertical lines and horizontal lines and will attract the viewer’s eye because of their originality and contrasting design.

Another aspect of this type of photography is that photographs draw the viewers’ attention through their curves and not through events. At first sight, it seems to be a shape and line romance of straight lines, leading lines, and curved lines: but it shortly becomes an implied line story that will awaken thirds attention and lead to a magnificent narrative or fairy tale, depending on the person’s creativity and mind.

Whether the photograph might be perceived as a negative space by some visitors, lines and shapes photography will make sure to turn it into a human, actual, and positive space. Indeed, a pattern will turn into human behavior, a leading line will remind us of an authentic situation, and a triangle will transform into an element of our daily life.

This photo was taken under the arcades of hotel "Les Thermes" in Ostend, Belgium during the hotel refurbishing, hence the "trendy prosthesis"
This photo was taken in Antwerp Belgium and features a colorful sky, which looks like a brush of paint.
This photo was taken in Paris in a superb department store which always seeks to decorate its escalators but this time I got to see them "naked".
One of the most beautiful synagogues I saw was the Florence synagogue which is truly beautiful. It’s a very colorful building but I liked the fact that I was able to find a spot which gave the possibility to light and reflection games thanks to its pillars and arches.
This photo was taken in Florence in the house of the Medici's family. I loved the way these doors seem to play a restless and dream game.
This photo was taken in Tel Aviv in the Liebling House and features a detailed shot of the Art Deco stairs of the house.
This photo was shot in a whisky distillery and features a close-up of empty bottles standing in a line like soldiers.
This photo was taken in Amsterdam in a hotel whose designers love to play with light and the reflections of mirrors. The mirrors were placed in such a manner as to offer an illusion that they were ready to fly away to new and exciting horizons.
"Bridge Knots" comprises a cityscape, a bridge, and a knot - elements I adore that made my photographer’s existence an adventure. This photo was taken in Sarajevo. Although it was taken in an older part of the city the bridge is truly modern and very photogenic.
This photo was taken in Jerusalem in a hotel which loved mixing modernity and history. And loves playing with light and mirror reflections. The hotel where I shot Rothko's Swimming Pool offers many places to absorb its elegance in grandiosity, discretion, modernity, or tradition. I love art.
This photo was taken in Paris in a superb department store which always seeks to decorate its escalators but this time I got to see them "naked". XX was a snapshot, as it was vital for me to capture the momentum when none of the clients on the escalator were looking in my direction.
This photo was taken near Roubaix in France in the Art Deco villa of an important industrialist in the beginning of the 20st century. "Art Deco Tagger" is therefore dedicated to all the outstanding discreet artists who work behind the scenes and make sure to achieve impressive results.
This photo was taken in Antwerp in the staircase of a big tower in Antwerp, Belgium. The stair lines are in white marble, the walls in light blue and the floor was made out of black and white cubic forms of marble tiles. Lines and shapes photography adds to your interior design.
Lovestruck is a photograph in blue tints which features two angles that seem struck by the light of the chandelier that is hanging amidst them.
