I love visiting cities that are beautiful but unknown to most people. Antwerp in Belgium is a typical example of such a city. Its charm and elegance are a surprise and have a mesmerizing effect on visiting tourists.
One of my favorite spots is Het Eilandje (The Small Island in Flemish), Antwerp’s former harbor area. It is a quiet and peaceful place surrounding me with its magic and makes me wander and dream away from reality.
When I shot “When in Antwerp”, I could not help wondering if Het Eilandje had the same effect on the man in the picture. What do you think?
